Places To Hide A Hidden Camera
People like to observe and watch what’s going on when they’re away. Many want to discover what their spouse is doing at home alone or how a babysitter is taking care of the baby when both parents are working.
Regardless of your reasons for hiding a camera, it can be confusing to know where to put the camera. Below are some of the best places in the house to put your hidden cameras, regardless of what you are using them for.
The first thing to take into consideration is what you want the camera to catch. Are you trying to catch a cheating spouse? Do you want to make sure your babysitter is caring properly for your child? The reasons you want a camera will help you decide where to place them.
Bedroom
If you want to hide a camera in your bedroom, consider the following locations:
- Nightstand. A nightstand is an excellent place to hide a camera. Put the hidden camera behind a regular object, like a clock, box of Kleenex, or a radio. Or, you can consider buying hidden cameras that are already disguised as alarm clocks or other basic items.
- Curtain Rod. Another place would be a curtain-rod. Small spy cameras can be mounted on the top of the curtain or curtain-rod, allowing you to get a view of the entire room.
- TV. Many people have televisions in their bedrooms, and most of the time they face the bed. Putting a tiny camera near the TV or on top of TV would be a good idea.
Living room
There are many reasons you would put a camera in the living room. Perhaps you know that is where your child will be playing the majority of the time. Or maybe you suspect your nanny of watching TV all day instead of caring for your child.
These hiding spots are great for the living room.
- Book Shelf. If you have a book shelf, placing a hidden camera in a book shelf at the top is a good idea, as you can also get a better view and angle when the camera is placed in a higher location. You can also consider getting a hidden camera in the shape of a book and hiding it anywhere.
- Stuffed toys. If your child plays in the family or living room, put a hidden camera in an inconspicuous stuffed toy. In addition, many nanny cams are made to blend in with a childs toys or bedding.
- Flowers or plants. IF you have decorative plants in your living room, as many people do, a tiny spy cam can easily be placed on them. This is very inconspicuous as well, as many people have plants in their homes.
- Light switches. There are special hidden cameras that are designed specifically for light switches and are easily installed inside of them.
- Mirrors. Some hidden cameras are places in two-sided mirrors. Or, you can purchase a mirror that has a hidden camera already inside of it. This is also not unusual.
If you have already decided to use a hidden camera, the next step is finding a place to hide it. You want the camera to be as hidden and inconspicuous as possible. The above are just a few places you can hide your hidden camera.
